SITUATION OVERVIEW:

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) through grant funding from the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (UKFCDO) facilitated the deployment of the Barbados Emergency Medical Team (EMT) for two (2) consecutive two-week rotations as part of the Hurricane Melissa relief and recovery efforts, under the umbrella of the Regional Response Mechanism (RRM). The field medical facility arrived in Kingston on November 21, 2025, followed by the deployment of forty-four (44) Emergency Medical Team (EMT) personnel from Barbados on November 22, 2025.
