The CDEMA Coordinating Unit (CU) is inviting applications for the position of Administrative Officer who will be responsible providing assistance with the administration and implementation of the programme, ensuring the smooth, timely and reliable flow of information between the Planning and Business Development Department and the broader Coordinating Unit (CU) functional units and stakeholders. Compensation:

The compensation will be based on the individual’s qualifications and experience.  

Merit Criteria:

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1.1 Passes in at least five (5) CXC or GCE O’Level subjects, including English Language
1.2 A diploma or certificate in secretarial studies from a recognized institution
1.3 Minimum of five (5) years secretarial and/or administrative experience

  • SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

2.1 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
2.2 Knowledge of office management principles and procedures
2.3 Knowledge of project management principles 
2.4 Ability to create PowerPoint presentations 
2.5 Effective oral and written communication 
2.6 Program and administrative management 
2.7 The application of the overall mission of the department to the performance of executive support activities. 
2.8 Work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community. 
2.9 Plan, develop, and coordinate multiple assignments. 
2.10 Investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions
2.11 Make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues. 
2.12 Foster a cooperative work environment. 
2.13 Analyze and solve problems.
2.14 Appreciation of workplace diversity
