July 28th, 2015 (UNISDR) - The UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) today launched a search for communities that demonstrate excellence in managing disaster risk in order to draw attention to the importance of local knowledge, traditions and customs in the struggle against extreme weather events, climate change and earthquakes.

Applications are invited for an internship position on Climate Change Adaptation for Agriculture with IICA Canada and the British Columbia Agriculture and Food Climate Action Initiative. Washington, USA, April 18th, 2015 - The Council of Ministers of Finance of Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic (COSEFIN) and CCRIF SPC (formerly the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility) signed today a memorandum of understanding that enables Central American countries to formally join the facility to access low cost, high quality sovereign catastrophe risk insurance.

Trincity, Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago, August 6, 2014 - ODPM - The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) remains committed to increasing Trinidad and Tobago’s level of resilience and preparedness for any eventuality. In keeping with this, two significant exercises were conducted last month. In the first activity, the ODPM donated three hundred (300) First Aid Kits to the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Hauliers (ATTH) on Tuesday 22nd July, 2014.
