Bridgetown, Barbados, August 18th, 2015 (CDRRF) - The CARICOM agenda for reducing risks and building resilience in Caribbean Communities got a much-needed boost recently. Twenty-three disaster risk management and community development professionals from 15 countries gathered at the headquarters of Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) for an intensive five-day workshop on project design and implementation organised by Community Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (CDRRF).

Bridgetown, Barbados, May 8th, 2015 (CIMH) - Representatives from the Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute (CARDI), the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA), the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC), the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA), representing six regional climate sensitive sectors, met with officials from the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) on May 6-7 at the Institute's Husbands, St. James, Barbados headquarters.
