Apia, Samoa,August 4, 2014, (SPREP) - A global campaign to improve weather and climate services for all small island developing states was launched today with the support of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and Digicel Pacific.

Trincity, Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago, August 6, 2014 - ODPM - The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) remains committed to increasing Trinidad and Tobago’s level of resilience and preparedness for any eventuality. In keeping with this, two significant exercises were conducted last month. In the first activity, the ODPM donated three hundred (300) First Aid Kits to the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Hauliers (ATTH) on Tuesday 22nd July, 2014.

Montego Bay, Jamaica, December 4th, 2012, (Panos) - In the first plenary session of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA)’s  7th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management being   held at the  Hilton Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica from December 3rd – 7th, 2012,  a  High Level Panel Discussion with government ministers saw the sharing of  experiences in the challenges of disaster risk management under the topic “Repositioning Disaster Resilience in the Development Agenda.”
