MESSAGE: The government of Belize has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the northern portions of Belize as Tropical Storm (TS) Franklin gradually strengthens.

THE SITUATION:

According to the latest public advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, as at 1:00pm (CDT), TS Franklin was located near latitude 18.0N and longitude 85.4W, which places it about 185 miles east of Belize City. TS Franklin is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue over the next 48 hours. On the forecast track, the center of Franklin will be near the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula by this evening. Franklin is then expected to move across the Yucatan Peninsula tonight and on Tuesday.

Message: Tropical Storm Warning still in effect for Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Tropical Storm Watch discontinued for Barbados and Saint Lucia.

The Situation:

The latest advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, Florida at 5:00 PM AST (1200 UTC), shows the center of Tropical Storm Don located near latitude 11.7 North, longitude 60.0 West. TS Don is about 135 miles southeast of St Vincent and about 120 miles east-southeast of Grenada.

MESSAGE: Tropical Storm Don formed east of the Windward Islands. Tropical Storm Warning issued for Grenada and Tropical Storm Watch issued for Barbados, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

THE SITUATION:

On Monday 17th July 2017, Tropical Storm (TS) Don formed east of the Windward Islands. According to the latest advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, as at 8:00pm (AST), TS Don was located near latitude 11.2N and longitude 53.8W, which places it about 405 miles east-southeast of Barbados and about 515 miles east of Trinidad. TS Don is moving at maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour.

Message: Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect for portions of the Bahamas as Depression #12 upgraded to Tropical Storm Kate.

On November 9, 2015, Tropical Storm Kate became the eleventh named Storm of the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The Government of the Bahamas has issued Tropical Storm Warnings for Central Bahamas and Northwestern Bahamas. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area, in this case within the next 12 hours.

Hurricane Earl Strengthens and Rapidly Heading Toward the Northernmost Leeward Islands.

The Situation:
A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat and Virgin Islands. A Hurricane Warning means that hurricane conditions are expected within the warning area within the next 12-24 hours.
