Main Objectives The instruction details the hydrological modeling and the prediction of the use of the HEC-HMS modeling system used by the Hydraulic Resources Institute of Cuba, whose known entries precipitation and unknown exit is runoff, or the known entrance is the flow ascending and the unknown output is the downward flow. The instructions also detail the roles of hydrologists in providing information for a variety of activities and studies on water resources that include: planning and design new hydraulic and water control or storage works; the operation and / or evaluation of existing water control and control works; the preparation and control of floods; and the regulation of activities in flood plains.
