The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) received from the Climate Risk and Early Warning System (CREWS) initiative. CDEMA intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued. This Consultancy for the Strengthening Early Warning Operational Arrangements Between National Disaster Offices and National Meteorological and Hydrological Services in the Caribbean will seek to determine the frameworks guiding operational arrangements between National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and National Disaster Offices (NDOs) and the development of Model Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), or the improvement of already established SOPs (inclusive of actions aligned to early warning) for the collaboration/cooperation of NHMSs and NDOs.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) received financing toward the cost of implementation for the Development and Implementation of a Regional Model Safe Education Sector Plan and National Adaptation Guide and seeks to develop a regional model safe education sector plan, national adaptation guide and to adapt the plan in six (6) CDEMA Participating States. The purpose of the assignment is to facilitate the process of mainstreaming disaster risk reduction by educational planners and managers into existing or new education plans and other education planning processes in the Caribbean context.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) received financing toward the cost of implementation for the development and roll-out a safe school recognition programme for schools in six (6) CDEMA Participating States. The objective of the consultancy is to develop and implement a Safe School Recognition Programme that recognizes commitment, innovation and leadership of schools in the Education Sector of the Caribbean region.
