OCT R3I Project's Board meets for the first time

The Overseas Countries and Territories' Regional Risk Reduction Initiative (OCT R3I) Project’s Board held its first  meeting at the Commercial Court on May 4, 2010. The meeting was chaired by the newly appointed chairperson, Financial Secretary, Mr. Neil Smith. The Financial Secretary was asked to chair the board meeting in his role as Deputy Regional Authorising Officer for the Caribbean members of the Association of Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTA).

CDEMA Conducts Country Visit to Virgin Islands

Senior government officials discuss strengthening of Sub Regional Coordination for disaster response

Bridgetown, Barbados, April 6, 2010 – (CDEMA) – Senior government officials of the Sub-Regional Focal Points (SRFP) under the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) system will meet in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 to discuss the strengthening of coordination for disaster response in the eighteen Participating States.
