Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, March 20th, 2015 (NEMO) - The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will conduct a workshop to present the Draft Tsunami Warning Protocols for St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday 24th March, 2015 and participate in the “Exercise Caribe Wave/Lantex 15 - A Caribbean Tsunami Warning Exercise” on Wednesday 25th March, 2015.

Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, June 20th, 2014 (NEMO) - The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) is in the process of developing National Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Tsunami Warnings for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. To that end we will host a National Consultation to review the draft protocols and standard operating procedures on the 23rd – 24th June, 2014.

Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, April 10th, 2014 (NEMO) - April 13, marks thirty five (35) years since the La Soufriere Volcano erupted in 1979. To commemorate the anniversary and to raise awareness about geological hazards, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will collaborate with the Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of The University of the West Indies, the Soufriere Monitoring Unit (SMU) and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society to host a week of activities during the period April 28 – May 2, 2014.
