Castries, Saint Lucia, September 15, 2009 (NEMO) - In keeping with the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations, the Ministry of Health in St. Lucia is removing the focus from reporting individual cases of confirmed H1N1 infections, to reporting on clusters of cases of flu like illness.

Castries, Saint Lucia, September 9, 2009 (NEMO) - September 9, 2009 marks fifteen years since Tropical Storm Debby struck Saint Lucia. Tropical Storm Debby, was the fourth named storm of the 1994 Atlantic hurricane season. Debby lasted only two days, reaching peak winds of 70 mph before being sheared apart on September 11. Despite the short duration, however, the heavy rains and gusty winds from Debby managed to cause nine deaths.
