Nassau, Bahamas, May 28, 2010, (Nassau, Bahamas) – The Caribbean Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and The Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) solidified their growing cooperation with the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two agencies yesterday, at the Sheraton Hotel, Nassau, Bahamas.

The Overseas Countries and Territories' Regional Risk Reduction Initiative (OCT R3I) Project’s Board held its first  meeting at the Commercial Court on May 4, 2010. The meeting was chaired by the newly appointed chairperson, Financial Secretary, Mr. Neil Smith. The Financial Secretary was asked to chair the board meeting in his role as Deputy Regional Authorising Officer for the Caribbean members of the Association of Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTA).
