Education officers,teachers and other stakeholders to receive training in school safety procedures


The School Safety Course will expose participants to the concepts of disaster risk management. Participants will also be given information on the key activities to promote and implement a school safety plan, the benefits of emergency management preparedness in school, simulations and drill for schools and the role of education in risk management.

The School Safety Course is organized by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA).

The course will be held in NEMO’s conference room at its Old Montrose Headquarters, beginning at 8:30 am each day.
